Finding Inspiration Together
When Richa from Anecdote Roasters reached out about creating art that captured the beautiful spectrum of coffee roasts, my heart did a little happy dance! As a fellow coffee lover, the idea of translating my favourite drink into flowing, abstract art felt like the perfect marriage of passion and creativity. Who knew my morning ritual could become such beautiful inspiration?
Our Creative Journey
This project became a delicious obsession! I spent countless hours mixing pigments to achieve those perfect coffee tones - from the palest cream of green beans to the deep, rich darkness of a French roast. Working through my idea deck with Richa, we discovered how these warm, flowing layers could tell the story of coffee's beautiful journey.
The Final Piece
The way the colours transition from light to dark and back again mirrors coffee's complexity and warmth. When Richa placed it in her home brewing corner, seeing how perfectly it complemented her setup, I was overwhelmed. It wasn't just art - it was bringing her coffee sanctuary to life.
Created With Care
Using professional cold-pressed Arches 300GSM paper and carefully selected Schmincke and Holbein pigments, I built those granulated textures and smooth transitions that make each coffee tone come alive on paper.
Time Taken
4 weeks of devoted brewing and painting, from perfecting those coffee colour mixes to the final artistic flourishes.
