Finding Inspiration Together
When Kaveesha reached out while setting up her new home, my heart lit up. She had fallen in love with one of my favourite pieces, 'Waves,' but needed something larger for her guest bedroom - a soothing, abstract piece that would welcome visitors with tranquility. There's something magical about helping someone create their sanctuary, and I knew this collaboration would be special.
Our Creative Journey
Creating my first large-scale piece felt like diving into uncharted waters! I poured my excitement into a detailed vision board, exploring how those mesmerising blues would flow and dance across a bigger canvas. Together, Kaveesha and I chose each shade carefully, mapping out how the colours would move and merge to create that perfect sense of calm.
The Final Piece
Watching those blues swirl and blend on paper was pure magic. The final touch of silver foil became my favourite detail, creating those gentle shimmer effects that make you feel like you're watching real sunlight dance on waves. When I had the joy of customising the frame and seeing it transform Kaveesha's guest bedroom, my heart was full.
Created With Care
Using professional cold-pressed Arches 300GSM paper and my beloved Holbein pigments, I built layers of flowing blues and teals, finishing with delicate silver foil accents that bring the piece alive with light.
Time Taken
3-4 weeks of devoted attention, from vision boarding to the final framing touches that made this piece shine.
