Memory Palace · Silent Conversations · Original Watercolour
Some practice sessions are too good to leave unnamed.
This one began simply with loose brushwork, pigments doing most of the talking, an attempt to capture light and shadow. But when I stepped back, the piece took me somewhere I had not planned to go. Back to Lodi Gardens in Delhi, to architecture I had walked past and half-forgotten. Present enough to feel, too distant to fully hold.
That is what the layered transparency of watercolour does at its best… structure stays, details soften. The way our memory actually works.
For anyone who has a place like that to hold. Quietly unforgotten.

I’m a Mumbai-based watercolour artist creating meditation-inspired work from my studio sanctuary. Each painting begins in stillness, shaped by nature’s rhythm and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
