Orphic began as an experiment with new Arches grain paper, Schmincke granulating paints, and a painting knife I had never used before. The first stage felt promising. The second felt like waste.

So I put it away.

A few days later, I took it out again. Something had shifted, not in the painting but in how I saw it. A vision was quietly unfolding. I added more paint, more water, let things move where they wanted. That is how this piece came back.

Soft, abstract, and contemplative. For spaces that honour pause.
