A single tulip. Nothing more needed.
This began as an attempt at botanical abstraction, wet-on-wet, so the edges could soften and the form could arrive on its own terms. What emerged was something between presence and absence. There, but not fully. Vanished, but not gone.
A feeling most of us know without having a name for it.
The tulip waits. Quietly, for the right hands to hold it.

Meet Poulami
I’m a Mumbai-based watercolour artist creating meditation-inspired work from my studio sanctuary. Each painting begins in stillness, shaped by nature’s rhythm and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
